Scary but, if you’ve got the stamina, you can uncover great pieces to start new Neap and Easy Daisy wallets, and be inspired to make new items as well.

Plus, there are interesting discoveries to be made. Like enormous sewing machines! That’s a regular industrial sewing machine behind the behemouth to the left.

Erin often calls Trish our “fearless leader.” Negotiating bunkers like this adds weight to that moniker. Go Trish!

We’ll let you know when the raw leathers make it into the store as finished products.

Approved for goofing around in, biking to parties and looking pretty. With a cardigan or short blazer it can be work appropriate too.

There are only a few denim Tessrocs left in the shops (all sold out at the studio!). Next there will be pink ones! I’ll get shots up for you soon…

With all the crazy rain–and thunder!–that’s just started up, last week’s balmy weather and sunshine is already seeming like a distant memory. Knowing we needed to make hay with the sun, Scott and I sneaked off the weekend before last with our good friends, Aimée and Jason, for a quickie camping trip to Porteau Cove. Located between Lions Bay and Squamish, it’s just a quick thirty minutes from town, but feels like a world away; the shot below was the view from our camp site!

Obviously, Scott was very excited by the view.

In addition to the amazing views, we were literally surounded by fauna–stellar jays (above), hummingbirds (!), and, of course, chipmunks. This little guy seems to like my Ashni Scarf:

The beach combing right out front of our tents was pretty stellar, too. We were on a bit of a mission to find a heart-shaped rock for glenda’s collection, but it turns out that finding heart-shaped rocks is #@%*& difficult! Scott did the best, but we couildn’t really bring it home. Sorry, glenda!

There is some great hiking a very short drive from the campsite, and on our second day we ventured out for a little mosey in the woods.

We passed some beautiful waterfalls…

We hiked through some mud (we were teasing Jason and Scott that they looked a little like a beer ad)…

…but the view from the top was amazing!

Mostly, however, we did a lot of relaxing. Thanks for the memories, sunshine–can’t wait to see you again!

I picked this chard from the garden this morning. It’s giant! Prehistoric looking! I put a farm fresh egg on it for scale (choosing the largest egg, which I think may be a double yolker).  It’s going to be some omelette!

This will be a Paleo breakfast in more ways than one – tee hee.
